Twelve years an engineer. A decade of production web: React, Next.js, Node, and a custom React engine at The Wall Street Journal. Since 2023, React Native and Expo over Kotlin and Swift modules talking to BLE hardware.
Robotics is where I'm headed. React Native is where I'm strongest today, and I'll learn whatever stack your team runs on.
I write and own the parts that decide whether a product works: the BLE connection lifecycle, the native module boundary, the crash that only fires on one Samsung build. Everything around them moves faster than it used to, because I run AI agents like a team: scoped, reviewed, and held to the same bar as anything I'd merge from a person.
That's how a multi-stream vision architecture and a robotics control stack got prototyped alongside a full-time lead role. I'm explicit about which is which. It's leverage, not authorship.
Three production apps. Led two engineers on Storage Genie and Manager Genie and four on Storage Treasures, running the scrum and writing every story myself. Built the smart-lock access layer in Kotlin and Swift, hardened the BLE connection lifecycle, and cut Storage Genie's Android crash rate from ~30% to under 0.1%.
Ran three concurrent client projects. Led the Flow / Cadence side of South China Morning Post's ARTIFACT platform; the 1997 collection generated roughly US$260K in reported sales.
Originated the WSJ Static Article Page platform as a prototype proving the paywall could move client-side: serve one cacheable static page carrying the full encrypted article, decrypt in the browser for entitled readers. Built it out on CloudFront, Lambda and S3, and led the four-engineer Web Platform team. Front-end lead for Talk2020.
Built and maintained the e-commerce platform through a period when revenue grew from $7M to $14M. Worked from Talpiyot, Jerusalem for the Miami-based retailer, across time zones.
